“These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your sons and shall talk of them when you sit in your house and when you walk by the way and when you lie down and when you rise up. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand and they shall be as frontals on your forehead. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Deuteronomy 6:6-9
In this passage of the Old Testament we are exhorted to write the Word of God on our hearts! Knowing and internalizing Scripture is so beneficial to us as parents and is most especially important for our children!
Recently, the writers of the Doorposts blog challenged us to display Scripture in our home in a variety of creative ways.
In this series, I’m going to share some photos and a few words about the ways we give Scripture a prominent place in our house. I’d love for you to share what you do as well!
I love this beautiful print I found on Etsy, it would look so cute on a fireplace mantel or hung in our guest room!
Do you have any favorite verses decoratively displayed in your home?
